I that the "Great God" Stella Artois is making inroads into the land of the free..won't belong before the incidence of domestic violence climes dramatically![reply]Ann W idecombe xxx @ January 21, 2010, 8:23 am
Hey AnnW Two at a time is even illegal in the UK i think?... unless u r at Sainsbury's where i think its always buy one get another three for free right?..... its then compulsory to drink them in the carpark right?..... He is on tour in China maybe he can take the Stella habit and introduce it to those guys.... that'll upset their economic miracle....... Stella certainly can't of done much for Britain's productivity.......[reply]Unassailable Nigel Lawson @ January 21, 2010, 1:11 pm

Apparently Belgians think their SA supply may run dry due to a brewery blockade by workers fearing layoffs by Anheuser-Busch InBev. Think they struck some kind of agreement ... But yeah, the alcohol entertainment culture lends itself to abuse which opens the door to all kinds of societal ills including domestic violence.
The photo is very engaging in its elements. But his music is not. I was watching "Playing for Change" peace through music. One of the artists spoke movingly about music being a universal language that unites and draws people together. I believe in that. Side Street's music sexually objectifies women. As good as the beat may be, there is certainly nothing cutting edge in his tired message. It may draw certain people together but it certainly isolates and harms others. I guess that is what passes for art at times … [reply]Marena Groll @ January 21, 2010, 2:36 pm
yeah sometimes my lyrics are sexist, but you lovely bitches and hos should know I'm trying to correct this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FArZxLj6DLk[reply]The Hiphopopotamus @ January 21, 2010, 5:49 pm
Dear "Effin' Gangsters"
You're going to have to apply yourselves more.
"The story goes: far, far away in music land, low-income black men were swept off street corners by record execs in suits who could provide economic security for their families and friends in exchange for a little shucking and rhyming. Because of this, many black feminists went to the mat for black men challenging the mostly white male executive boards of Universal Music Group, Time Warner and Viacom. These execs globally distributed humiliating portrayals of women and people of color and became billionaire rich while black people, the innovators of hip hop, remained poor. But it’s not just these power -driven, money-hungry white men who were ruining hip hop for the rest of us. Hip hop has developed a good ol’ boys club of its own — of brothas. And the likelihood that new recruits will buck at their mentors is slim."

I am not a rapper, I am not in the Rolling Stones, I am not the President of the USA, or a surfer, or a Marine, or a nurse working on a ward, or a teacher working in an inner city school, or the star of Hollywood Movies, or even an Eagle Hunter from Khazakstan............ but sometimes I get the privilege to hang....... to hang with people who are......... :-))
If u go afta a rappa, u gotta do it rap style else u just come off all whiny:
Yeah some selfish, disrespectin' rappas only think with their (you know).

Thanks for the advice. I understand your point. But I also understand Byron's point at around 3:00 although he's not rapping ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjxjZe3RhIo ... [reply]Marena Groll @ January 21, 2010, 7:05 pm

Nah............. I think Motorhead are far too ugly and 1975 for these guys....... although I always enjoy a laugh myself.......
Weirdly, I see you've posted several photos ??? past this one ? ... but not all of them are showing up for me. Some are coming through with the little X things up in the corner :([reply]Lynda @ January 21, 2010, 7:50 pm
I think they are fixed now....... I posted one as a massive size Tiff instead of the small Jpeg files that Im supposed to be putting up.......... check them now let me know..... if its all working....... u might want to empty the cache of your computer first...... but if thats too techy ignore that bit of advice hehehe.......... :-))
Yay! Yes, I can see them all now. Though this one is still probably my fav (he's not smiling in the rest of them). Though that last one is looking all intense and thoughtful ... I could see it on the back of an album. But pretty smile photo still gets my vote! (And I like his earring too).
I have no idea how to empty my cache ... and besides it sounds kinda gross !![reply]Lynda @ January 21, 2010, 8:21 pm
Misogyny, violence, guns, ultra-masculinity, sexism... Jezblog has been a lesson for me today. Sad to see all this alive and well in the Land of the Free ....
But now, seriously...if those guys mess with Stella Artois they are Toast! Poor innocents.....;-))
