It rained really hard all day in Chicago and the traffic was pretty drastic on the way to the Airport........ it was a bit of a stress...... I was within seconds of not being able to check bags for my flight....... I just did it........I was so relieved..... then they cancelled the flight........ great .......... so they transferred me to United. United\'s check in facility was totally overwhelmed with hassled people in a huge line...... for some reason only about 10% of their check in places were manned....... anyway to cut a long story short I end up finally checking in....... then I realize I still have my favorite swiss army knife in my pocket not in my checked bags........ so I give the knife to Amanda who seemed really nice working at Starbucks in United baggage claim at O\'hare hopefully she will remember to post it to me....... well as a plan it has a chance of working....... its better than just chucking it away at security.......hey she seemed nice and tolerant of the slightly bizarre request..... the United flight was then continually delayed...... not just a useful two hour delay where you can work or eat and just relax....... no it was a creeping 20 mins at a time delay continually requiring you to be at the gate only for another 20 min delay to be added......... I had originally been attempting to fly out at 6-30 PM...... eventually...... I get on the flight at gone 10PM....... then get into LGA New York at gone 1-30AM....... oh yeah and Ive bust my iphone.......
But now its gone 4AM & Im getting a very late breakfast in the Insight Diner on 23rd and 9th....... listening to a girl wearing interesting red shoes talking on the phone to her friend about her only just stolen car........ and of course watching the taxis roll by..... yeah...... in NYC watching the taxis roll by.
Any day that finishes like this can\'t be all bad.
You are a bit of a Psycho mate, trying to take a knife on a flight like that..you should be ashamed of yourself..PS I bet my Swiss Army Knife is bigger than yours..[reply]Gordon Brown Stain x @ February 27, 2009, 5:47 am
Gordon as you well know....... you always need to carry a swiss army knife just in case you need to open a beer or go on a frenzied hijacking attack after they try and put your cameras in the hold .... or if you are having a problem in your cabinet colleges and you need to organize a night of the long knives frenzied sacking attack as is traditional in British parliamentary democracy....
Never mind the raine, the lack of sleep, or your phone... you know you've got a shoot at 10.30 sharp this morning right??? [reply]Matt @ February 27, 2009, 9:12 am
Hey Matt........You are killing us bro...... I was still up in the office at 5AM...... and Greg came in on his way to a shoot....... there are probably health and safety laws that specify the agent can only book 38 days back to back shoot and fly days in a row without killing the photographer...... yeah yeah...... I was there at 10-30 AM sharp...... er ....... well not exactly sharp but hey we were all set up and shooting by 11AM..... come on Im a Brit and an artist .... darling .....thats fashionably late baby........ :-)
Now it's time to check your email... rather pressing business to address!!![reply]Matt @ February 27, 2009, 10:56 pm

I am totally buffetted by that crazed roll factor.... turn it out.... roll..... perform ..... roll..... madness...... roll..... shoot..... madness...... madness.....shoot..... madness..... its great but it does your brains-in..... in the end ...... hehehe...... gotta roll..... madness....... hehehehe....... :-))
