When you are driving long distances your mood changes as time passes........ one minute you are talking to your friend from London its all up beat and fun........ So then you are in raised spirits....... next you are speaking to a Friend in NYC who is having a pile of personal hassle...... you end up feeling devastated for him.........
These fishermen fish much more collectively and socially than I imagined they might....... even if they are arguing they are all interacting like mad all of the time............
Have you ever been fishing? [reply]Andrea @ June 29, 2009, 8:00 am
Yeah but not for a long time..... and then just as one off shots at it..... I've never really been a proper fisherman....... for one thing British fishing I saw mostly as a kid seemed to require an affinity with maggots or at least an ability to put your hand in to a pot of them and put one on the end of your hook....... YuuuuuKKK........ as a child I would almost puke at the sight of those writhing bait buckets..... er...... you are getting the picture now right? Hehehehe...... Im not really a fishing type....... my brother in law Feizel lives in South Africa and is obsessed by fishing...... I have been on trips with him that involve being chased by crocs and frightened out of the water by sharks..... I like fishing with Feizel...... cos of the drama..... but really I remain a non fisherman.

Like a lot of things in life, enjoyment seems to depend on who you do them with![reply]andrea @ June 29, 2009, 10:45 am
Yeah that really is the truth of it..... :-)

You should see the sharks in the canals now Jez! Worse than before, and to think we used to throw peoples ties into the canal..............Tight lines indeed...(nice shot by the way)[reply]PaulS @ June 29, 2009, 3:41 pm
Hehehe... I knew something grim was lurking in those canals... My dog obviously had a close call swimming in the grim shark infested waters of Birminghams canals... He was running enough risk of being done in by my mum cos he was so smelly by the time he came home from swimming or at least wading in green and greasy waters... Of the leg of the mighty canal network that came close to my house... Sharks are u sure? I thought he was in danger of being dragged down by lurking shopping trollies... Or the mass of vile primrose ties... But sharks? Hehehehe.... :-)[reply]Jezblog Amtrak to NYC @ June 29, 2009, 11:35 pm
