My mum and Dad came down to London to visit me here today ....... so i took them out for lunch at a flash fish and chip shop....... I know.... I know..... but it really was a flash one........oh come on....... what do you mean no such thing as a flash fish and chip shop?......... Come on...... are you implying i was being cheapskate on my folks ? ...... hehehehe.........
Anyway my mum is raving on about the tickets she has got for the Opera tonight........ I know....... but you have to keep your mum happy right?......... Its an Operetta really.... Gilbert and Sullivan at the Tower of London......... Blah Blah Blah...........Mum loves this stuff........ Im ever so slightly drifting........ wow........ Like WOW ! ......... What are the chances of that? A Pink London Taxi and a beautiful old Corvette........? Hang on mum...... I just got to grab my iphone......
Anyway I've just got back from the Opera...... I should have photographed that...... but it would have spoiled it for my mum...... if I was fiddling with cameras or being ejected...... hehehehe........... so I watched and heard the performance of 'Yeoman of the Guard' performed at the Tower by the Carl Rosa Opera...... apparently Queen Victoria asked Gilbert and Sullivan to write a show to celebrate the opening of the Tower of London to the public..... and this is it....... so I guess it is pretty apt to watch this performance outside in the moat of the Tower of London itself..... as part of a crowd of 4000....... er...... lets face it...... you were never going to get a gin & tonic at the bar in the intermission........ and yes you are going to freeze to death sitting outside watching opera in Britain .......
So anyway..... the picture is of the pink cab and the silver Corvette taken on my iphone........ from up stairs at 'Pier 1' the poshest fish and chip shop in Camden by a mile........ :-))

Its true baby....... its not that mad...... hehehe....... I prefer to shoot a mad archetypal JC pic ...... but I am using an iphone..... and Im hanging with my mum & dad its hard to be my usual over the top mad self...... hey you have to try and act normal for your folks..... hahaha.... :-)) .... hehehe...... this is a tame version of my stuff cos I was being a tame version of myself....... hehehehe.....

I think they liked it baby..... in fact they seemed very pleased with it...... it literally was the poshest Fish & Chipper of all Time...... kind of all brushed steel and mega modern...... like it should be serving sushi........ but it had a very standard fish and chipo menu everything with mushy peas...... how could they fail to love it!! Hehehe.......
Not a bad mix: flashy eating spot with flashy cab and car. Good thing you got to be with your parents. Mine live in upstate New York and my return visits become the big thing especially when I do that every five years or so. iPhone shot? Who needs a 5D if it can do this? I thought at first..... it was some kind of old Mercedes or something... cos I was not thinking classic US cars in London.... but it really is a very rare American beast in the UK...... a really early Corvette.....
I think its one of these shown in its natural environment......... :-))
